BD Sensors range of submersible liquid level probes for immersing in liquid to measure liquid height using the hydrostatic pressure sensing technology.
A complete range of submersible probes manufactured by BD Sensors for measuring the depth of water, drinking water, waste water, viscous fluids, sea water, salt water, fuel, oil, petrol, gasoline, solvents, acid and alkaline solutions.
These IP 68 rated depth probes are constructed from a choice of materials suitable for different liquid media types such as stainless steel 316L for clean/hygienic use, copper-nickel/titanium alloy for marine & offshore use, and plastic/ceramic/ffkm for use on corrosive chemicals.
For specialised applications these products are certified and approved for installations in hazardous areas, ship use, drinking water compatibility, and safety integrity levels.

Product Help
Programmable range
Are any of the level probes programmable to a specific range on site? For example, can you order a probe with a 1m depth sensor and program the 4-20mA output to 0 – 0.8m as needed onsite?
Yes the H versions (e.g. LMK382H) are programmable using the HART protocol with a maximum turndown of 10:1.
S-curves for non-linear tank contents with pressure
Are any of the probes programmable with S-Curves for applications like horizontal cylindrical tanks with rounded ends?
This is not possible inside the level probe, but typically the solution is to do the linearisation in the connected instruments, which makes things a lot more standard and more cost-effective rather than trying to calibrate the sensor to achieve this. For instance, the SRP range such as SRP-94, and SRP-N118 all have 20-point linearisation that you can accommodate all types of tank shapes. Also this can be achieved with a signal converter with the capability to add custom linearisation such as the ISOCON-LIN.
This also means you can use a standard range sensor like 1mWG for instance and it’s all calibrated in the instrument to accommodate a lower range such as 0.6 mWG full scale for example.
